It draws inspiration from the classic Tetris for its gameplay, while introducing a unique twist of its own to make it more varied and challenging to players. It features a simple but quite appealing neon aesthetic design.

Many games have tried to replicate the feel and experience of Tetris like Tetris Zone and Block Puzzle have done. Quaterneo employs a similar mechanic to its gameplay. How do I play Quaterneo?

On the surface, Quaterneo looks like a puzzle game that was inspired by the classic Tetris of decades past. It starts off with a row of color-coded blocks, which you will need to rotate to form a square of uniform color to clear out.

All the while, more will keep falling from above. Now, this is where the unique twist comes in as adjacent null blocks will occasionally appear after clearing out a square. It adds another layer of difficulty and challenge as you keep blocks from piling up and reaching the top too fast. Quaterneo offers 3 game modes to choose from and even features an online scoreboard so you can compete with others for the highest scores.

Lastly, as you play, you will get to unlock cosmetic upgrades that will allow you to change the colors of your blocks following various themes and color palettes. It supports various control schemes, from your mouse to a gamepad controller. Although it has a short playthrough for every run, it was designed that way to cater to quick play sessions.
